What a gig! The tent was so packed that people were prepared to dance under a waterfall from the leaking roof just to get some space. I was trying my hardest to bop but its hard with an eight-year-old on your shoulders. Certainly no competition for the dancing on stage, especially the star jumps in the brass section.

A blockheads fan in front of me was blown away, never thought English Folk could be so good. This band should win every Best Live Act award - the best band at the festival (and the competition was fierce).

Fantastic gig. It was great to hear and see the band so close. I’d been at the Folk Prom but there was no atmosphere in the hall. At Stokes Bay the atmosphere was electric. I was bouncing up and down at the front next to a chap who was determined to stand like a statue with his arms folded throughout, but hey you can’t please all the people. What is so lovely when you are that close is to see how much fun the band are having, even though the "sound people" couldn’t get Squeezy’s melodeon set up right. Looking forward to seeing you again very soon.
