Well when I went to proms in the park I was intending to get down the front for Bellowhead’s set but found out that with the impossibly large queue I didn’t quite get as close as I wanted...but at least I had a good view of the screen. I couldn’t fault the performance although I was rather disappointed the crowd didn’t join in more. Even so I sang along with the chorus to London Town even if my very quiet voice didn’t reach the stage.
By the end of the set - which was too short, I could have listened all night, forget the other acts what about a Bellowhead proms? - there were more people joining in. I bobbed along in my seat - not wanting to block anyones view - and waved my giant yellow handkerchief cunningly disguised as a scarf. A great start to the rest of the evening’s entertainment.
