A rather cold night to start off with - there must have been a fair few frozen fingers amongst the band as well as the audience! Bellowhead produced their usual rousing performance which had everyone up and dancing by halfway through the set. A couple of new tunes were evident amongst the set - including Fakenham Fair and Rolling Down the Bay to Julianna. Rather disappointingly there had been an announcement to ask that all dancers move to back to avoid restricting others’ view. All well and good, but had they ever BEEN to a Bellowhead gig? Needless to say that only lasted halfway through the set before a sort of ’pitch invasion’ of dancers (lead by the most honourable Jim Causley - what a legend!) to the front, and thereon after crazy dancing continued much as normal. Needless to say, we were all decidedly warmer at the end of the evening!
