Born in Chicago in 1977 but raised in Winchester, England. Jon has a degree in Medieval Studies from Durham and in Composition for Theatre from London College of Music.
He released his first solo CD, Painted Lady, in 2006 and received the English Folk Dance & Song Society 75th Anniversary Award (Sheffield and South Yorkshire) in 2007.
Jon played with John Spiers in Eliza Carthy’s band The Ratcatchers before leaving in September 2007.
In March 2009 Jon will be touring to promote his new album as ’Jon Boden and the Remnant Kings’. No information yet on who ’the Remnant Kings’ will be!
