Yet another awesome gig - this one even more offbeat than normal. For starters there was a guest spot from the Hammersmith Morris Men, after which the band got stuck into the first half - all the old favourites were heard, along with a carol or two...Bellowhead style! Not to missed. Somewhere in the middle was a new treat - a mummers play. If you don’t know what that is, go and look it up. Great fun anyway. There was a guest appearance from Lisa Knapp at the start of the second half, followed by yet more revelling. Highlights included The First Noel...to the tune of London Town! Jon was struggling rather to remember the words at the speed - great stuff! Encore included the usual suspects and a lovely version of Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer, which those of us who had been to the vocal workshop beforehand were able to join in with. And we did. The only downside was the quality of the sound - not quite an ideal venue for that, but otherwise lovely.
