This very weekend Bright Young Folk are travelling to a secret location in Bristol where Jim Moray is working on his next CD, the follow-up to the awarding-winning Low Culture.
If there’s something you’d like us to ask him let us know in the comments below.
You don’t have long, so get your thinking caps on. We’ll put the best suggestions to him when we meet up on Sunday 11 October 2009.

Hi Jim, You’ve dropped the odd song of your own onto your albums (’Longing For Lucy’, ’Adam Ant..’), do you ever foresee yourself recording an album or EP comprised entirely of songs you’ve written?

1) When you are working on a new album is the relationship between the music and the album visuals symbiotic, or does the concept for look and feel come together after the album is complete.

Someone told me that you wrote extensive notes about the story behind Lucy Wan and what you wanted from your production of it while working with Bubbz.
Is this true, and if so, do you go through the same creative process for all your songs - new and reworked?

Can we expect exciting collaborations on your next album, if so will they be cross genre as with Lucy Wan?

Can you drop any hints about what sort of thing will be on your next album?

Hi Jim, i’m writing an essay for college on your version of Lord Bateman and was wondering what equipment (mics, 4 track?) you used to record the album and explain who, how and where it was mixed and mastered?
See you at your next gig in Devon.
cheers
Ben :)

Do you have a favourite instrument for composing / arranging in the studio? Does the instrument you use initially affect how the final arrangement comes out?

Morris dancing has clearly influenced some of your music; how do you see the future of morris dancing in the country?

You must be one of the hardest working musicians there is, you seem to be always gigging or recording what do you like to do to unwind?

Thanks for all your questions!
We’ve now returned to Bright Young Folk Towers with many, many minutes of fine interview footage. More news soon.
