BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards - Winner

Posted by Mary Stokes on 09 February 2011

Last year, I had the pleasure of reviewing a Demo EP by a young three-piece band from Norfolk. In my review I praised their "clear musical vision" and marked them out as a future force to be reckoned with.

Yesterday Moore, Moss, Rutter were presented with the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award by previous winner Tim Van Eyken, who in his speech acknowledged the massive role the award has played in his career, saying it is a great investment in young talent.

Clearly humbled by the accolade, the trio made one of the briefest acceptance speeches of the night, thanking their parents for ’driving them’ around and ’buying their instruments!’

We loved these lads when we saw them at Sidmouth last year - introduced by Andy Cutting who played some tunes with them.
