Posted by Christopher on 16 October 2009

In part one of our two-part interview, Lewis Garland and the Kett Rebellion play Blackboards and Fingernails from their début CD Places We Neglect. We also talk about the origin of the song and their unusual approach to percussion.

In part two, published on 17 October 2009, we continue our interview and talk about their Klezmer-influenced sound, the personal nature of their songs and being a young band in today’s music industry.

Recorded at the Electroacoustic Club in London’s The Slaughtered Lamb on 13 October 2009.
