There were six folk award nominations this year for this world class guitarist and skillful interpreter of contemporary and traditional English and American music. He won the Best Traditional Track category at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2010 for ’Sir Patrick Spens’. Martin’s shows are intense, eclectic, spellbinding and deeply moving.

These Scottish traditional musicians provide instrumental music of the highest quality. Aly, a subtle and tuneful fiddler, is the host of the televised ’Transatlantic Sessions’ featuring the best British and American musicians. Since his early days with the acclaimed ’Silly Wizard’, Phil has become a composer, producer, TV presenter and Grammy Award winner.

John Tams is best known for his work at the National Theatre and on TV as an actor, songwriter and musician. His musical activities have included the Albion Band and many others. Barry is a masterful keyboard player and singer. Together, their spine-tingling music is rich, diverse, contemporary and utterly compelling.
