Karine currently performs with Annie Grace and Corrina Hewat in the vocal harmony project ’Grace Hewart Polwart’, new Scots-Canadian group ’The Burns Unit’ as well as ’The Karine Polwart Band’ and ’The Karine Polwart Trio’. Her prolific collaborations and bands have included the Battlefield Band, Chris Wood, macAlias, Kris Drever, King Creosote, Malinky, Future Pilot AKA, Roddy Woomble and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. She was a leading member of the ’Darwin Song Project’ and the ’Complete Songs of Robert Burns’ project. A new collaboration with Lau will be released in 2010.

Her album releases are ’Faultlines’ (2003), ’Scribbled in Chalk’ (2006) ’Fairest Floo’er’ (2007) and ’This Earthly Spell (2008). Karine’s music has also been featured on Hollyoaks and The Hairy Bikers’ Cookbook.

Karine’s songwriting talent has led to her twice winning ’Best Original Song’ at the BBC Folk Awards as well as Best Album in 2005 for ’Faultlines’.
