Now in their 9th year, Kerfuffle have played venues as diverse as Towersey & Bromyard Festivals, Fairport’s Cropredy Convention, Radio 3’s “Late Junction” and the bar under the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
In April 2010, Kerfuffle announced that they would split at the end of the festival season to pursue their other work; Sam with Bellowhead, his duo with Hannah, Jon Boden and the Remnant Kings and the Fay Hield Trio; Hannah with the Demon Barber Roadshow, her duo with Sam, new trio Lady Maisery (with Hazel Askew and Rowan Rheingans) and an accordian group featuring Karen Tweed and Becky Price; Jamie with his duo with Katriona Gilmore.
Kerfuffle will be partially reunited (Sam, Hannah and Jamie with a fourth musician in Tom’s stead) in December 2010 to tour their winter album ’Lighten the Dark’.
We wish them all the best for the future, and look forward to catching up with them in their new (and continuing) guises.
