After graduation in 1994 he became a Lay Clerk with Christ Church Cathedral Choir, Oxford, where he spent five years. During that time he formed the duo Belshazzar’s Feast (with Paul Hutchinson) and quartet Dr Faustus.
After the disbanding of Dr Faustus, Paul teamed up with Benji Kirkpatrick and Saul Rose to create Faustus, who have now added Pete Flood to their line up. He also sings with acappella ensemble Mouth and Trousers.
Alongside his performance commitments Paul teaches, conducts and can sometimes be seen in cathedrals wearing a frock.
He received the English Folk Dance & Song Society 75th Anniversary Award (Andover) in 2007.
Paul also features on the following CDs:
- Folk Music of Wales (1999) (The Gift of Music) - also features John Spiers, Benji Kirkpatrick, Dragonsfire, Amber Quartet, Ian Giles and Jon Banks.
