Reviews

Tunes was releases in the summer of 2005 and is the first half a double release from John Spiers and Jon Boden.

The album features a collection of 15 tunes performed brilliantly with both the energy and pace that we have come to expect from the duo. They draw from a range of sources including John Kirkpatrick and Bob Cann as well as include a number of their own compositions such as the Mexican Tent Jig, Union and Flapjacks and Firesticks. The clever arrangements and live feel to the album keep is enough to keep you entertained throughout and to repeatedly return to it.

Songs that released later the same year as the second half of this project complements the album very well and if you only been able to hear one of the two so far you can look forward to a real treat in the other.
