John Spiers and Jon Boden have been together as a duo since 2001, having first met at a session in the Elm Tree in Oxford. In the 7 years since, they have picked up two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for Best Duo (2004, 2006) and are focused these days on providing (in their own words) a "big, thumping night out with showmanship, humour and raw stomping energy".
