Seth Lakeman’s latest single release from his new Hearts and Minds album appears to be somewhat of a departure from the dark stories of murder, misery and ghosts the Devon songster usually serves up, but is all the better for it.
Tiny World is an uplifting life-affirming track about a couple who are spending what they know to be their last night together, lost in their own moment.
Taking full advantage of a sing-a-long chorus and a glorious cajon zydeco vein running through it (courtesy of Chris Hall from the Cajon Roosters on accordion) it’s bound to become a firm favourite at the summer folk festivals in 2010.
